NEWBy popular demandVermont is pleased to offer calibration services for pin gage sets
Your calibration readings are taken using a laser-based micrometer and specialized robotics. The published repeatability specification for the Vermont lab micrometer is +/- .000005". Measuring equipment used for calibrations meet the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994. All masters used in the set-up of Vermont measuring equipment are traceable to NIST. Your gages are calibrated according to ASME specifications B89.1.5-1998. Each pin gage is measured at two places one eight (1/8) from each end unless otherwise instructed. Measurements are rounded to the nearest ten thousandth (.0001) on inch sets and rounded to the nearest thousandth (.001mm) on metric sets. All gage readings along with size nominals are printed on a single gage set calibration. A Pass/Fail marker is also printed to quickly identify the status of each gage.
